Life Vision

• • Build strong foundations for success in exams and beyond the classroom, with a carefully levelled four skills syllabus that contains a strong focus on exams, grammar and vocabulary. Exam support includes clearly labelled exam-style exercises in the Student’s Book and Workbook and focused exam skills lessons.

• • Develop digital competence, with videos that reflect the way today’s teenagers share experiences and information. Transport students to real-world environments to develop digital literacy skills with 360° interactive images. Assign and track homework to keep students learning outside the classroom with gamified skills practice on the Active Learning Kit and enable them to become competent autonomous learners.

Regular mediation tasks integrated in the unit allow students to practice this critical skill by summarizing, explaining, and translating information.

• • Learning situations: Life Vision incorporates regular learning situations in each level. Students explore interactive 360º images and then apply their knowledge in a practical way, solving real-life problems through authentic project tasks. Assessment rubrics are provided to facilitate the implementation of Continuous assessment in the classroom.

• • Competence-based learning: Life Vision ensures that the Key Competences are developed methodically. They are clearly highlighted in the Student’s Book and explained throughout the teacher’s notes.

• • Continuous assessment: A complete assessment package includes cumulative termly exams. The iProgress Check, Project Coach and Learning Record sections of the Active Learning Kit encourage students to learn independently. Learning Situations every unit provide the opportunity for peer and self-assessment.

• • Mediation: Every unit includes mediation activities throughout the Student Book and the iPack, to ensure the development of this language skill in the classroom. Teaching notes in the Teacher’s Guide include easy-to-understand explanations. Regular collaborative work in the final Project tasks create a perfect environment for teaching and practising mediation.
