Description:  An online course that shows you how to create the best learning environment in the classroom.

In this course, the classroom environment is broken down into five broad areas, each of which teachers can influence through their decisions and actions. It will help you reflect on how your choices in each of these areas affect the learning conditions for your students.

• To learn how to influence and improve the learning conditions in your classroom through your actions.

• Managing students (interaction, participation, motivation, routines, and responsibilities).  
• Teacher language (effective instructions, correction, feedback, praise and discipline). 
• Managing resources (organisation, presentation, technology, and physical space).  
• Effective use of time (planning, flexibility, pace, and anticipating problems).  
• Body and voice (monitoring, attracting attention, body language, gesture and expression).

Anxiety is a normal human reaction when we feel we are in danger or under pressure. We can experience it through our thoughts, emotions, body sensations, and behaviour. Everyone feels anxious sometimes—before an exam, a big performance, or when trying something new. A little anxiety can even help us stay focused and react quickly in difficult situations.

The way we experience anxiety depends on many things, like our family background, brain chemistry, past experiences, and personality. We cannot really change the first three, but we do have a lot of control over how we think about and deal with life events. This course will focus on both prevention and intervention. It will help teachers and students understand how they see the world and respond to it. By becoming more aware of these patterns and learning new ways to handle stress, it is possible to reduce anxiety and build emotional strength. Don’t miss the opportunity – places are limited!
